Charlie.... Lipsey's had a run of Flat Tops years ago and I managed to get this one....really wanted the 4-5/8" model but this is a good one...Stocks are rosewood from rifle blank I've been whittling on for years. IIRC, I think they also had a run of Flat Top SS ones as well...others here may know for sure.

Those Blackhawks look GREAT! Wished they were not so expensive! Would love a short barrel in Stainless!

Well it’s Saturday and I finally picked it up.
S&W model 57 8 3/8 no dash, pinned and recessed lower serial number N1250xx.
It’s a factory Pinto, blue frame, nickel barrel and cylinder. Wood presentation box, so the story goes…new in the box unfired. I see I slight drag line on the cylinder but I’m not sure how much handling it has to see to develop it. I will be on the sidewalk talking to the doorman until someone lets me inside.
