anyone in my situation? I'm loading 200gn hornady xtp's on top of 27.5 gns of H-110. I need some advice, please! will those rounds b safe to shoot in my lever action? i know they are the norm for my desert eagle. I hunt deer, hog,and bear.

All factory made .44 Magnums are SAAMI rated for the same pressure standards.

Either the Desert Eagle or a modern 92 clone would be basically able to shoot the same loads.

Your 27.5 grains with a 200 Nosler JHP is listed by Hodgdon as a 29,000 CUP starting load.

Lyman #49 shows 27.7 as a starting load with the 200 XTP.

So yes, it would, or at least should be very safe in either gun.

Anything that's safe in your Desert Eagle will be safe in the rifle. The rifle is stronger.
I would agree that anything within SAAMI pressures would be safe in either gun but in this case, I don't think the rifle is the strongest. Have you ever shot a Desert Eagle? It weighs as much as some rifles and is built like a tank.

The Desert Eagle is monumentally stronger than the Lever Gun.

The standard 1894 receiver starts the "death stretch" at around 50,000 PSI. The Desert Eagle can easily handle this pressure level for an extended round count.

Thanks very much for the knowledge!!! I have been reloading rifle cartridges for years, this is my first stab at pistol cartridges!
