I just finished reloading 50 rounds of 44 Mag with 2400 but I used CCI 350 magnum primers. These are all fresh cases (Remington).
Hornaday 200gr HP-XTP
23grains 2400 powder
CCI 350
Could there be a problem with this mix? I was using W296 before and that's why I had the magnum primers.
Thanks for any help.

That's right near the top of the Lyman 49th Ed manual loads for 2400 and 200gr JHP-XPT and standard primers. I wouldn't start there, but that's me. I expect will be a stout load.

Thanks! I saw some info about not using magnum primers with powder that doesn't need it (2400) only after doing these reloads.

While 2400 doesn't require magnum primers, I doubt that it will make that much difference. Hornady's max for that combo is 25.3 with a WLP primer. You are well below that.

One reason to VERIFY your recipe BEFORE you fill the cases and seat the bullet. Anytime you change components, you should do this. (but I bet you already know this)
