This looks like a good standard round other than the softball for reloading, perhaps with a little more "punch" :D

Anyone have any ideas on where to start with reloading info on this one ? Alliant ( for unique powder ) shows a SWC for 200 gr....

Thoughts ? Insight ?

This bullet, a cast 225 gr truncated cone?

Loads are determined by bullet weight and construction.
225 grains is close enough to 230 not to matter. 200 grain information does not signify.
They are conventional cast lead bullets probably from an industry standard Magma or Ballisticast mold machine, not jacketed.

Nose shape has no effect except as it might require a different seating depth and powder space. That is what the boring fine print in the manual about "starting loads" and "working up" is about. I'd give it a medium load as listed for 230 grain lead roundnose and not worry abut it as long as function and accuracy were ok.

Yup, that'd be the bullet we're speaking of !

Bear with me and my ignorance, handgun rounds aren't really my ball of wax.... I'm getting in to it at the insistence of my extended family, and my own curiosity :)
