Hello All -
I just picked up a Henry Big Boy in the .45 Colt, to go with the Ruger Vaquero that I inherited from my Father. Not knowing too much about this round (other than it's fun to shoot), has anyone noticed a preference in bullet weight between the 200 gr and the 250 gr loads, with their 45 rifle/revolver? I'm not sure what the standard weight for this caliber is (e.g. - 158 gr for a .38 Special, 124 gr for the 9mm, or 230gr for the .45 ACP0. Is there a particular round that I should focus on or avoid, in the Henry? I'm just looking to kill paper targets and metal plates with this. Heck, I might even try SASS if I can find the right cowboy hat.
I would appreciate your thoughts on this. I'm somewhat a newbie with this caliber and I want to avoid any stupid mistakes. Thanks!
