I know this has been ask before but, what is a good "lite" load in 45 ACP?

My son is 12 and has tried my 1911 with 230 fmj and 6.0 grains of WSF. He really liked it.:D So being kinda new to reloading I was wondering what you guys would recommend for a good load for him.

Thanks for any replies

200 gr LSWC/230 gr LRN 45ACP with 4.0 gr of Promo/Red Dot.

Light load but fairly accurate as well. It's my favorite plinking/training load now.

200 grain bulets and W231 or Unique work well for light loads. Just use enough powder to reliably cycle the pistol.

Sounds like he can do well with 230 fmj and 6.0 grains of WSF. :)
