Hm. I can't find it listed on the website, but BlackHills has made some runs of their good hardcast LSWC load in a warm factory load. I know someone who actually purchased several boxes to qualify and carry with for his Mountain Revolver on duty as an LEO. Call Black Hills.

After selling my Taurus .454 Casull I bought a nice Ruger .45 Colt Bisley blackhawk and wanting a viable woods load I settled on a handloaded 250 grain hardcast at 1100 F.P.S. Very managable and I feel quite safe for most situations.

Mr. Thompson IMHO a well designed 250-270 grain bullet at 1100-1200 fps will do about any heavy work that needs done with a sixgun. I understand there's a place for heavier loads but those places are few and far between.

DON'T YOU WORRY

I believe Dry Creek will be hearing from me shortly.......been :what: those 275g Keiths (sized .454").

Ole neighbor to the north, we just come off a run of several thousand 45-275-K bullets and sized 500 for a guy wanting .454. This bullet sells well and with good reason. It's everything the old Lyman 454424 is, just more of it.

Creeker
