I have some h110 I'd like to use with 300 grain speer jsp's.I'm starting at 20 grains, anyone see any problems using this powder charge?
any other suggestions for h110?
I've heard 45 long colt brass is thinner/weaker than 44 magnum or 454 cases.
could I trim down and use 454 cases for 45 long colt to maximize case life?

using speer manual #13,and was wondering about the warnings, thanks for clearing that up.
I'm going to use starline nickel cases.
my loads using wc820 at 20 grains was right on the money.
using the fast lot the charges were 12-13 grains using 250 and 300 grain jsp/jhp's.
thanks for the reply.

FWIW, I have found 20.0 grains of Win 296 (which is the same as H110) and Sierra's 300 grain JSP in new .45 Colt cases to be a good combo. I presume the same charge would work well with Speer's 300 grainer.

Hello-

I may have missed the information but what gun do you plan on shooting the 300gn bullets from?
The mentioned loads will surely destroy a Colt SAA or clone!
Best!

taurus raging bull 6 shot wheelgun.I reduced the ruger/contender loads for 300grain bullets, for use in my bull.
20 grains of wc820 and 12 grains of wc820 f were right on,very accurate and just enough recoil to say hi.
thanks guys.
