Does anyone have a suppressor on there .45? I was considering buying one when I get my G30. Is it worth the ~$1000 once you buy the threaded barrel, suppressor, and pay the $200 tax? Any particular brands work better? Any brands to stay away from?
Thanks YR

Older AWC Nexus on a Springfield. Works pretty well for a .45, and ALWAYS functions due to the Nielson/piston device. It also can be "locked out" for single shot, which disables ejection, so you can dump the brass in your hand.

The Glock is about the easiest and cheapest to suppress. G30=$550, Lone Wolf threaded barrel=$125, 2 photos=$5, 2 fingerprint cards=$15, $200 tax stamp and a SilencerCo Osprey 45=$850. Prices may vary.

I have a CCF Impuls II which I run on my HK Tactical. It does OK. Definitely needs to be run wet.

I am looking at the SilencerCo Osprey now though to replace it. I got the opportunity to shoot one and shot dry it is quieter than my Impuls is when shot wet.
