Anybody actually build a bolt rifle in 5.7x28. I see Savage came out with a Model 25 bolt in that caliber. Looks like it would be a fun one to play with.

I am not aware if any and have no experience with a 5.7x28 bolt rifle. There is a .22 TCM bolt action which is kind of a similar concept.

You know, I was thinking the same thing ever since the first time I saw that round. I wonder how it would do in accuracy, velocity, etc. launched through a 16-18" barrel on a bolt rifle.

Seeing as I've found it quite accurate from a blowback carbine out to 150yds (so far) I suspect it'd hang right there with 22 Hornet for the most part. Nearly the same bullets going nearly the same speeds, just smaller case & higher pressure.
Would love to hear how much better the brass holds up when not subjected to blowback distortion.
