50 cal Millenium "quikshooter" magnum.

Hey guys. I picked up an inline 409 ignition Millenium quikshooter in 50 cal. Can't find allot of info on this gun besides a few possitive reviews on it's accuracy. Sure looks head n shoulders above my old TC Renegade of 20 some years ago. Anybody had any experience with this brand from Brazil??

The Quickshooter is an MDM made muzzle loader.
I didn't realize that they were made in Brazil since the Vermont company claims that they manufacture the Millenium designed muzzle loaders.
Except for the ghost ring sight set and minor changes like barrel length and composite stock, it appears to be similar to their Buckwacka break action model. It's also similar to the H&R and Rossi break actions.

Unless in-lines really float your boat, the Renegade was a better rifle.

Extreme accuracy has been achieved with our .50 caliber barrels rifled with a 1 in 24 inch rate of twist and our .45 caliber with a 1 in 20 inch rate of twist.

Many muzzle loaders nowdays are specialized to fulfill a special purpose so there's not much to directly compare between the 2 models. The Buckwacka has a fast twist barrrel that helps to turn it into a conical shooting machine, something that the Renegade isn't really noted for.

The TC Renegade was a good basic blackpowder rifle but I like the inline ignition and the 409 primers for more reliable, faster and hotter ignition. The TC I had was made before anybody, but me, thought about putting jacketed conical bullets with sabots in a black powder rifle.

I found the major problem I had with my old renegade was the ingition. Didn't like the weak caps, the flash hole would sometimes get blocked, it wasn't well sheilded from the elliments and the bore was very tight.

The bore on this millenium is loser and it's stainless, a big plus with black powder.

I picked this Millenium up for $150 with a scope, sling, lb of powder, full box of primers, bullets, speed loaders a kit bag and more,...sighted in already to boot. I don't think I got hurt.

Been thinking about using 209's myself. These little old standard No. 11's
just don't put out quite the fire I need. This is about all they got.

I sold my CVA Wolf for what I paid for it, because I bought my Renegade and liked it much better.
I haven't missed it. I prefer traditional muzzle loaders.
I'm glad you're happy with yours.
Inlines are cool but just not my thing.

I've never noticed any delayed ignition with my percussion guns. Mine fire instantaneously. They must be defective
