Check out this video. Is it real? It looks real to me. The shot to hit timing seems right, you can hear the sonic boom as the bullet passes by, and that is what watermelons look like when they get shot by high powered rifles. At least he went to MS, home of the best marksmen in the U.S. :D

It would appear to be real as I don't see any other way to make the watermelon explode like that on top of your head and still be alive. Not saying I would try it but...

There are ways of doing it. The entire melon is never shown, so the possibility of a squib hidden inside is very high. There is also the possibility of a similar device hidden in the top of the helmet, just under the melon.

I call B.S. Multiple camera angles, good-quality footage, incredibly risky & potentially deadly stunt that anyone with half a brain could recognize as being a bad idea - this says scripted to me.

I hope its fake. Seems fake.

Otherwise its not very cool at all.

If its real, words do not describe how ignorant and irresponsible it is.

That is exactly the kind of stupid things that give responsible gun owners a image. Not to mention the kinda fuel it is for the anti's.:fire:

/rant over. lol:eek:

Given that this video is from the same guy who did the Psychedelic Warfare/Flower Gunfight video, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's a very well-done fake.

If you watch his other videos, it's pretty clear that he's a extremely talented AfterEffects artist. He has learned well the ways of Andrew Cramer.

That said, the video posted doesn't do anything to advance THR's goals of furthering the RKBA and safe gun handling.
