Barnes Match Burner Bullets 264 Caliber, 6.5mm (264 Diameter) 140 Grain Boat Tail

Hornady Match Bullets 264 Caliber, 6.5mm (264 Diameter) 140 Grain Hollow Point Boat Tail

Hornady SST Bullets 264 Caliber, 6.5mm (264 Diameter) 140 Grain InterLock Polymer Tip Spitzer Boat

Anyone tested these? Looking at mainly paper punching out to 300 yards, longer if I can find a place, looking at the sst for hunting, currently doing load development for those, first round of testing I got 1.75 inch group at 300 yards

I have had good luck with the Hornady BTHPs in the past, what are looking for information wise? 1.75 at 300 with a factory barrel should be considered reasonable.

Just anyone's thoughts on which rounds seem to perform better, probably will end up trying both to see which will get me better accuracy

The Hornady ELD-M will get you slightly better results if you are just punching paper, for hunting the 143 gr ELD-X would be a good one to look at. As noted above the BTHP did very well in fact well enough it made you wonder if you should be using the ELD-M at all.

I've had really good luck with the Barnes match burner and H4350. Shoot better in my.rifle than Matchkings and Hornady Eld.

Recently bought some Hornady match bthp's. I've heard really good things about them

I've been using the 140 gr Hornady ELD-M and H4350 ever since I started shooting the 6.5CM. I have a load worked up with Varget too but the H4350 gives me better accuracy. I also use the Sierra 130gr TMK with Varget with good success. Haven't tried the other bullets you listed.

The Match Burners are OK, and will probably suit your needs for punching paper and are relatively inexpensive. I've also used the 143 gr ELDX. It is a little more accurate for me than the Match Burners and would be my pick for a hunting bullet over the SST's. I bought a box of 140 gr match factory loads to try. Accuracy was fine, but no better than my other loads.

I've only loaded and shot a few so far, but the Lapua Scenar 139 gr looks to be the most accurate, and they have earned a reputation as a deadly hunting bullet as well. Not the highest BC of the bunch, but that shouldn't be a handicap until you really push the range. They are a popular bullet for target shooters out to 600.

With those bullet weights H4350 is the powder you want, if you can find it.
