For a gun that is advertised as "There is Little to No Cylinder Circles" - I can clearly see scratches in almost every single picture where the cylinder has lines from the lower lock-up pin.

Yes, the gun is clean, just like most of my guns when I detail them.

I don't like the advertising comparing the gun to a girl "prom queen" - tight, "PRETTIER THAN A PROM QUEEN".

Someone may buy it and never shoot it just because he dropped a lot of money on it.

If it were mine, it would be at the range with me the first day I obtain it.

I think the seller needs to show some top strap cutting photos and some forcing cone photos, seeing that they have every square millimeter of the gun posted up in high resolution, let's see the DETAILS!

You could get a lot more gun for that money! Some of the performance center works of art in the $1,000 to $1,200 range come to mind.

You can get a 3" CS-1 for less than that. Or a 627 Performance Center gun. Either someone has more money than brains or someone is running a scam.

It was the Kimber box that made it worth the extra 100%. That and the landscape photos. Oh the Winchester hat that alone was priceless and worth the selling price.

If you go to Midway, there are all kinds of parts for revolvers and they tell you how to insert these different shims (washers of varying thickness) to tighten everything up. The gun could have been a normal, fairly-tight 686 with a bit of cylinder movement, and the person might have just tinkered enough with those performance parts to tighten it, I am not saying they did, I am saying they COULD HAVE!

If the gun is THAT tight while sparkling clean, what happens when you shoot 10 or 20 rounds to all those extremely tight tolerances? I believe they would start working against you in the cylinder starting to bind and who knows what else! Tight is good, but then there is the extreme where there is absolutely no movement at all.

Sheesh, one particle of sand in the wrong spot and you might have to take the gun home just to detail it again!


Also, just what I always wanted, brochures and installation instructions for stuff that is not even being sold with the gun!

I would pay more for a 686 with 6 holes.....but not that much more.
