Does anyone know where to get good 7.5x55 Swiss ammo cheap? There's a K31 for sale cheap in good condition at a local store, but ammo is $18 for 20 rounds. Are there any better surplus ammo deals out there?

Some consider it "match grade" -- and while I've shot some I can't say if they're right or not. I'm not good enough to tell the difference. :)

It works though. Made holes, didn't blow the gun up.

7.5x55 dies -- $19 (well, for Lee at least)
100 pcs 7.5x55 brass -- $27 (at Graf's)
100 pcs .308 175 gr bullets -- $9 (nearly anywhere)
1 lb of IMR 3031 or 4064 -- $14 (nearly anywhere)
CCI large rifle primers -- $2 (nearly anywhere)

Mix appropriately and discharge forthwith -- look for 1-1/2" to 2" groups

So far, I have reloaded my brass probably 5-6 times with no splits.

The Lee dies I use are typically pretty good but don't have the bells and whistles...good price tto.

Hornady dies, hmmm? I have a set of 45 ACPs that I like...$25 is a good price.

GP-11 is awesome stuff. Before I had to part with my 96/11 I got 300 meter groups with GP-11 that amazed me, and I'm by no means an expert shot. The rifles were made for it, and it was made for the rifles.

I shoot GP-11 in my K-31. It is very good ammo. I usually pay $25.00 for 60 rounds at the gun shows here in the North Texas area.
I think you will be very happy with the K-31. It is a very high quality rifle for very little dollars spent. I think they are a great value!

I have all the components including Graf's Brass and Lapua bullets to reload but I haven't started yet. The GP11 is so nice, so nice. I look at the cost as buying Federal Gold Match .308 for half price, because the GP11 is certainly the equal. I worked on one of my K-31's triggers. Oh my!
