.308x39 is a wildcat, Accuracy Rifle systems will re-barrel a Mini30 for that, they've advertised as much for at least 6 years, if I recall correctly:

Hey, just quoting the page indicated, did you read it?
What's the saami specs on 7.62x39 (I actually don't know)? If it isn't a 0.308 bullet, then .308x39 would be, by definition, a wildcat. Just because dies come in sets, also doesn't make it not a wildcat.
This is more or less into the realm of 5.56 NATO vs. .223 Rem. I won't lose sleep over it, but knowing about it helps accuracy and potentially avoids unsafe chamber pressures.

Bringing this back from the dead. I'm getting ready to start doing this build but I'm going to be using a X-Caliber barrel chambered in 7.62x39 with a 1:10 AK bore. Has anyone had any experience with this barrel?
