I have my M-39 sighted in at 100 yards with Bulgy light ball. I have a .68 (according to the barrel marking) front sight. At the 150 Meter setting it shoots 3.5-4" high at 100 yards. I was looking at the 7.62x54r.net charts for the same ammo with the M-28 (and similar with other rifles, his rifles were zeroing even at 200 yards, and shooting a little over 2" at 100- with the higher front sight. I am going to shoot a 200 yard match this weekend with it. I am now thinking that should leave the sights set for 150 meters, because I will probably end up about 1-2" high (at 200) as it is. This should drop me right in elevation wise.

Is my thinking right?

Thanks
