According to the http://www.7.62x54r.net website, the nominal bore diameter of a Russian Mosin Nagant is 0.300" (some can go as high as 0.303), nominal Groove diameter is 0.311" (but they tend to be larger, up to 0.314") and nominal bullet diameter is 0.311"

What are the 3 nominal measurements (Bore, Groove and Bullet) for a 303 British?? Bore should be 303, as the very name says right?

What about the nominal bore and groove diameter for a 30-06 barrel?? (bullet as we all know is 0.308"), bore should be 0.300"...correct?

Who has a nominal bullet diameter of 0.312?

If the nominal bore diameter of a Mosin Nagant and a 30-06 is the same (0.300") can we say that the difference is that the Mosin has "deeper" grooves?

Regards

.303 British bore is .303", groove is .313", I don't know the official bullet diameter. Tolerances usually plus, although there are recorded cases of barrels enough undersize to shoot well with .308" bullets.

A .312" bullet is about right for the 7.65 Belgian/Argentine/Turk.

The other main oversize .30 is 7.7 Japanese, which some consider a rimless .303 derivative.

According to Hatcher's Notebook:

30-06 = .300" bore - .3086" bullet. (original military bullet spec)
7.62x54R = .300" bore - .310" bullet.
.303 British = .303" bore - .312" bullet.

Yes, it would appear the 7.62x54R has deeper grooves.
