You know you've been gone for awhile when you have to click the "I acknowledge my thread is really really old" button on any of your previous posts! I'll just start a new one.

Hello all!

Anyone that remembers my username remembers my 700 build. I have some important updates! (see picture). I officially own a USO. 3.2-17, Green obviously, EREK knob, Red ilum, MPR reticle...more news and pics to come.

I still have the bushnell 6500 elite here, so I'll get some side by side pics up of the scopes and through the scopes soon.

Good choices. I'm a big fan of the mpr reticle. Hurry up with the pics already

Thanks and thanks for the help taliv.

My experience with it is obviously limited, but I think the MPR may be the greatest reticle known to man ;) .... lines are just the right size, just numbered enough, etc etc, but the fact that I can precisely measure .2-.8 and 1 mil (without each division being numbered in .1 mils) is pretty awesome.

So I can't give a picture of it on the rifle yet, but here is the rifle wearing the bushnell. Currently, it's at Phoenix Custom Rifles getting the barrel trimmed a bit to accomodate a badger brake, timney trigger and 'marksman' bolt knob. When the rifle comes back with that stuff, I'll add the USO and get some pics. Up to this point, the rifle has been average .5moa at 100yds for it's life. I believe it's a .3moa rifle, but I'm not a .3moa shooter on average.

More on the scope up next

Some disclaimers on my through the scope pics:

1) currently in a mild dust storm, so neither scope is showing its best.
2) its just me and my camera skills, so neither scope is showing its best.
3) Neither scope is attached to a firearm.

Important to note the USO has an ARD on it, the bushnell does not.

Pic #1: the bushnell at 6x. pretty thick lines and some disortion around the edges. Not all bad though.

Pic #2: the USO around 6x. holy way nicer image batman. and again, that's with an ARD in. check out all the field of view you get, and still can't see the bubble level (yep, internal bubble level).

Pic #3: USO around 12x. nothing to do with zooming in on the scope, but my camera placement lets you see the bubble level a bit in this picture.

Pic #4: I tried really hard to get a good pic of the illumination, but its tricky. I'll have to try with more ambient light I think, but here's what I have in the meantime. There is absolutely no bleeding of lines or anything when illuminated, stays very crisp.

Here they are next to each other. the USO is quite a bit heavier, and if you look at the general rim thickness you can see where a lot of that weight comes from, it's very beefy. little longer too (both scopes have sunshades installed). the control surfaces on the USO are much better than the bushy (especially the zoom and erek knob).

Specs:
SN3 TPal 3.2-17
44mm
ARD
Cerakote OD green
Internal bubble level
Mil Scale MPR reticle
Digital push button Red illumination
Erek 1/10mil elevation
US#1 1/10 mil windage

Taliv, anybody still playing the ranging game?

Also, got a better pic of the illumination. super tricky and still not perfect, but better than the last.

Sure. Bump the thread with a pic or two. There's a link to it in the stickied library (don't forget to put the size of target in there...)

Nice pics. Hope you enjoy the scope and get to use it some! They are makin some nice glass these days. If I get some spare cash this year I think I will put it in one of their 1-8x models.

Will do.

Rifle is back. The guys at Phoenix Custom Rifles are awesome, I highly recommend.

I mounted the USO for pics, will do a better job on it in a bit. Came back from PCR with a new bolt knob, the badger muzzle brake and a Shilen trigger at 2.5lbs. the USO just barely clears!
