I'm shopping for an 870 Popo and need help figuring out the differences between these.

Link is here: http://www.remingtonle.com/shotgun/870psyn.htm

Remington Synthetic 18" (7 shot ext.) Improve Cylinder Bead Parkerized 4910

Remington Synthetic 18" Improve Cylinder Ghost Ring Parkerized 4921

Remington Synthetic 18" Improve Cylinder Wilson Combat
\XS Front Parkerized 4937

My main questions are:

1. Are the ones without the extension equipped with the PC Mag Dimple?

2. Is the model 4921 with the ghost rings tritium equipped, who makes the sights?

3. And as for both the ghost rung model and the Wilson tracloc & XS dot model, is the frontsight soldered or glued?

Much help will be appreciated.

If it helps

I am buying a #4937 Thursday and its going to run me $495 smackers. From what they told me the #4921 is being discontinued and the $4937 is the replacement. I am assuming the wilson/xs ghost rings have tritium, at least I hope so for what I am paying.

Not really that bad if you figure it as $400 for the base gun and $95 for the wilson/xs parts.

If you dont think about it like that its a lot of money for a scattergun.

And he's right, no dimples on a 870P

Opie

When you get it could you check to see if the frontsight is soldered or glued? I called Tooltech, who can install me sights from Trijicon and it's $$$ more to have it soldered.

OK.................

Here is the update, I decided to get the 4921. The XS sight was not tritium, and I did not see any advantage to pay the extra $50 over the factory ghostrings. The XS was mounted on the same type of mount the rifled sight versions use, and I have never really thought those were real durable.

Here are some pictures of the 4921 to give you an idea of the sights, they are soldered on, not glued. Although its not the prettiest sight on the market, it appears VERY durable.
