8MM Ammo. ?

Is ammo. that has just plain 8MM on the box the same as 8MM JS ammo. ?
My Yugo M48 says that it shoots ammo. that is .323 diameter.
Will modern 8MM ammo. be the same as the JS type ?

8mm Mauser or 8x57 JS or 8x57 IS is what you need. 8mm Mauser made by American companies will only be loaded to approximate a Winchester 30-30. 8x57 JS or IS from European companies will be full power.

8 x57 S will work, but poorly (due to its bullets being a tad small for your bore). 8mm Remington Magnum, 8mm-06, 325 WSM will not fit.

Just like Mr Pale Horse said, most all currently manufactured 8mm is fine to shoot in your M48. You really have to look to find the older 8x57S ammo. Prvi Partizan is loaded to "true" 8mm spec where as US made ammo is not nearly up to spec.
