An excellent and thorough analysis of a FOF exercise at this year's TacCon. It goes over responses and those that work and those that don't - puncturing some fantasy views of what you would do.

I've been in a few of these in the past and can second Dave's view point. Such experiences, if you can find and afford them are very, very important in one's training regime. Square range groups aren't worth much as training.

I won't rework the entire post but say that when I was the bad guy, the folks fumbling with their gun were so obvious. I also took down a bad guy (being a customer) but then got into a gun fight with the hidden second accomplice. Things to think about.

There's no right answer but having the requisite training helps. Also, if you decide to run, keep running. In one, a guy ran out of the store and stopped outside. The bad gun ran out, saw him and said: Oh, hello. Then he shot him. When I ran out in another one I headed for the sunset.

I wish I could still go to TacCon. Family care taking precludes it. Sigh.
