Patriotic Rock

You should check out this website. It features a big rock that sits on a roadside in Iowa. Some kid on summer break decided to paint it to show his patriotism. This huge rock is located on Highway 25 in Iowa
which used to be used by kids for obscenities and graffiti. Since it has been painted like this, it has been left alone.....

Be aware that this may get closed for being OT; I'll leave that up to the forum moderators. But, I have to say, Wow! That kid is a real artist. I had to look hard at the first picture to figure out if the flag was a painting or a cloth flag drapped over the rock - very realistic. He chose some very good scenes and events to depict. Extremely impressive.

The only sad part about it is that a kid in Ohio 'gets it' and knows what America stands for, but a significant portion of adults in the same country do not.

Very moving...err, for a rock. Definitely a lot of talent and maturity went into it's creation. Glad the rugrats of the area have left it alone. All hope is NOT lost...
