Accuracy of sporter enfield

I am looking at #4 mark 1 enfield that has a 20" barrel, the barrel looks new and it appears to have a nice crown. I was wondering how accurate this would probably be i plan to scope it. Thank you

Your usually looking at 1.5-2 moa after accurizing and with careful handloads with most enfields, if you can shoot that well.

I have two that are sportered, a #4 & a Ishapore 2A1 & they both shoot spot on..........

Bought my oldest son a sporterized Enfield in 303, when he was 16. The first shot was then, and is now 25 years later, exceptionally accurate. The second shot is generally not accurate because the little rifle kicks so hard, no one really wants to pull the trigger the second time.

Accuracy...

in a specific rifle depends on how well you can shoot. If the bore is nice, the rifle will shoot reasonably well....chris3

I had one that shot better than I could, and another that had groups resembling a shotgun pattern. If possible slug the bore before buying.
