add on muzzle brake

what barrel configuration to you have now?

having a barrel threaded is easier and cheaper than you might think. What caliber are you shooting and what brakes are you looking at?

it is the standard barrel (not heavy barrel) with sights 24" .300 winchester magnum. i have just seen some muzzle brakes for other guns that slide over the barrel and clamp on, but my gun was not listed. the way i thought it was done was to drill holes into the end of the existing barrel by a gunsmith, which i thought was expensive. i have never had a gun with one, but as i get older, it seems more appealing to me. if i could get one that was removable, that would be a nice plus, as every so often, i get this overwhelming urge to have a gun kick the daylights out of me. i know, weird! but we all have quirks.

If youy have a gunsmith in your area call and ask about having the barrel threaded and maybe a trigger job at the same time - it costs nothing to ask!

asked today at the gunsmith, $150 for a magna port, or $250 for a screw on one. 2 much for me. at least for my 300 magnum. its not THAT bad.
