Adjustable Rear Sight for SR1911

Does anyone know of an adjustable rear sight for the SR1911 that does not require altering the rear dovetail?

There are a whole bunch of different sight cuts on 1911's. Chances are reasonable your Ruger has a Novak sight cut, but I don't know for sure.

Harrison is a great place to go if you have one of those nasty adjustable sight cuts and need to fill it up with a fixed sight. However, I don't think he has any adjustable sights for the OP's application.

I have seen some of the adjustable sights to fit in a Novak lomount dovetail, and to be honest, I wasn't impressed. There may be better options than the ones I saw, I went with a different sight cut so I didn't look any further.

The Novak adjustable, "Extreme Duty" I think, seems pretty solid. It only requires a small flat to be machined in front of the existing lomount dovetail. If you decide to go back to a fixed sight, Novak makes one to fit the modified dovetail, but as far as I know, they are the only one.
