Help me out here. I am looking to pick up a 6.5 PRC bolt gun.
Which would you choose and why?

Ruger American
Christiansen Arms Mesa
Ruger M77 Hawkeye Long Range
Tikka T3X Lite
Tikka T3X Roughtec

All are within acceptable weight. All have muzzle brakes. All in same price range except the Ruger American. I have owned Ruger Americans and I was always impressed with them; especially for the price.

I own a Tikka T3X Lite and I am impressed with it also.

The bolt throw on the Tikka and Ruger are nice.

Read different reviews on the Christiansens. Not sure about them. They are very light with Triggertech triggers, so very appealing there.

I am mounting a Meopta Meopro 3-10x on this.

I'm a big Tikka fanboy so T3X Lite if you're on a budget and the Roughtech if you have a few extra dollars for something nicer looking.
I've been interested in the 6.5 PRC but with loaded ammo going for around $5 a round right now I think I'll wait.

Of your choices, one of the Tikka's.

I've had just enough issues with Ruger Americans to be concerned. Magazines in particular. And they have gone up in price to the point that they are not really inexpensive anymore.

The Hawkeye is a dead nuts reliable hunting rifle and would be my 1st pick for a rugged dependable rifle that I was taking hunting in a situation where it absolutely, positively had to work with no excuses. But there are more accurate rifles.

I know nothing about Christiansen. And there may be other, better options. But I've never been disappointed in a Tikka.

Tikka is never a wrong answer.

I think the Tikka T3x Lite is the best value.

Not terribly much more than the Ruger, but a much nicer rifle.

The Hawkeye might be kind of heavy, if you're wanting a rifle to carry while hunting. Might be a good weight if you're looking for a bench gun.

The Mesa might be a nice "tweener" it's a little heavier than the Tikka, but lighter than the Hawkeye.

Purpose drives selection though, what's your plans for the rifle?

I like Christensens, have a few of them.

I like Americans, have a few of them.

I like Hawkeye had one if them, shot more.

I dont care for Tikkas, but ive shot a ton of them.

If i were buying for me, Id buy the Mesa. I have one, and i like it.

As a recommendation, the Tikkas are a good option, if your not into tinkering those or the Mesa are probably what id recommend from your list.

The American is a good option IMO, the Cerakoted Go Wild (which i remember being the only PRC option) is much smoother than a regular American....id guess they HAVE to do more finish prep for the coating, and it helps smooth out what tool marks are left...ive had issues with mags on my dads new pred at as well, but switching to bergara mags seems to help

The Hawkeye will be heavy, so even tho i like them if weight savings the game id pass.

If you are open to other options id also recommend u take a look at the mauser m18/sauer 100s.
