Well, last weekend I was visiting my parents a few hours north of here and got roped into going with them to meet a general contractor they're considering for a house they'd like to build. My father met with the fellow once before, said that he (the GC) was really into guns, and that I should go along and meet him. Fine, why not. Driving down the path to the GCs house, I notice a very nice little firing range with 4 sets of 6 resettable steel plates. Fast forward about 15 minutes -- the GC hands me an HK P7M8, 100 rounds of Hirtenberger 9mm, and tells me to go burn some powder. Now I shoot fixed steel targets on a regular basis, but the falling plate racks this guy had were veritable boatloads of fun. I HAVE to get a set.

The GC's plate racks were home-made, but I don't have the tools (or skill) to make one of these myself. I've been looking at this set-up in particular. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good source for a resettable plate rack (under $1000, on the east coast)?

Thanks!

I have Action Targets Plate racks and they are very well constructed. I am very please. I have heard very good things about Porta Targets steel targets. They I believe are in FL.. Worth checking out. Reactive targets are a great training tool. As are moving targets.
