Advice re: used Ed Brown 1911, Custom - price, info

I have been drooling to have an Ed Brown 1911, Custom. I have just found a used one at a local dealer. It is an Ed Brown Custom from the days when Ed was still using a Les Baer frame. The gun looks like it was seldom used. Fit, function, smoothness seems great. Guy is selling just because he needs the cash.
The dealer has a 30 day warranty for used guns so I can have it checked out at a gunsmith for any major defects. Serial number is LB 5097 if this mean anything to anyone. Price is $1799.
Is this a reasonable price? Any opinions about the earlier Ed Browns with the Les Baer frames?

Good auto pistol price is too much I say no more than 1400 anf thats alot for someone elses custom gun for that cash you can build your own how you want it use you ideas not someone elses nightmare, if you realy think about it.

Used Ed Browns are like Chickens Teeth, not easy to come by.

That's a good price for a GREAT 1911.
