A friend and I want to go on a safari together but for different animals. He wants the plains game and I want a Cape buffalo- can anyone here recommend an outfitter that could arrange for both? Thanks in advance.

Depends on how much you want spend and what kind of experience you are looking for. The prices in Africa have risen DRAMATICALLY in the last 3 years. What you seek is very possible but if you want to do it in true wild Africa it's going to cost you some bucks. If you are willing to hunt a large ranch in South Africa you'll save some money but the experience will be different.

Drop Aaron Neilson a line and see what he can do for you.

Read up some by a member called JJHACK. His posts were very enlightening to me and the message I received in return was quite pleasant. I believe he does different styles of African Safaris and could possibly cater one to your liking.

Best of luck to you!

if you get a chance to hunt africa, go. i have hunted there two times and will go again in this comming may. i like eastern africa. eastbank.

PsuedoCop,

I highly recommend using a quality experienced booking agent for your trip. there are many international travel and booking pitfalls when traveling with guns.

Aaron is one of those folks. If he can't do anything for you drop me a PM and I'll head you towards a couple of others who are of assistance.

my father gave me that knife, it is a kabar he was issued in ww-2 and at the time he gave it to me i didn,t use it as i thought it was just to big to carry in the field and it was put away for quite a few years, but to honor him for his service in ww-2 and raising me right(a hard job sometimes) i started to use it gutting animals and carrying on my hunts far and wide. he is gone now, but on every hunt i think about him. eastbank.

Glad I asked. That is very cool--thanks for sharing!

I just got gifted a Randall from my father and will be breaking it in this hunting season.

i traded my tracker in africa for this knife, its a stuart smith( a south african custom knife maker). he wanted a SS folder i took along and the deal was made, now i have a knife to pass along. if you look on the trackers right side you can see the knife before i made the deal. he was and is a good tracker, tall for a african maybe zulu blood in him. eastbank.
