Aftermarket Glock triggers

Best one I've ever tried was a stock trigger with a Taran Tactical trigger job on it.

Very, very nice. Felt like a stock Walther PPQ. :)

I put a Ghost Rocket connector in my G21 Gen 2 a while back and I love it. It doesn't make the trigger perfect, but it does make it feel better than stock. I also polished up the parts and that helped make the trigger feel smoother, too.

I probably disassembled the gun a dozen times to make sure I didn't remove too much metal from the overtravel tang, but the simplicity of the Glock design make it easy to do.

I used the 6 lb. striker spring that came with the kit instead of the 4lb. one because I didn't want to risk light primer strikes, so my trigger pull is still a bit more than the advertised 3.5 lbs., but it is lighter than the factory 5.5 lb. trigger. I'm guessing it ended up being about 4.5 lbs., but more importantly, the trigger feel is much better now. Everyone who has tried it out can't believe it's a Glock trigger.

My 30S had a true staple gun trigger. I bought the Glockmeister drop in 3.5 lb trigger package. Now I have a nice trigger.

just put a full ghost rocket trigger kit in my 23, much lighter pull, shorter reset, no over travel , quick easy double taps. I like it

I've thought about posting a review of the Guardian Trigger, but I haven't got around to it yet. Here's the short and sweet: it's great.

Well, a little more detail... I bought a Blue Label Glock last September at the same time I bought a Walther PPQ, the latter because of the trigger and grip feel in my local gun store. The Glock unexpectedly arrived about a week later - I thought it would take months.

The out-of-the-box trigger on the G19 was awful - over the eight-pound limit on my RCBS Trigger Gauge. I'd call it nine or 10 pounds, easy, and creepy, dragging. It was a poor trigger. Given that I had the PPQ, I figured I'd either sell the G19 or fix it.

I looked at a few aftermarket triggers, but settled on the GlockTriggers Guardian, mostly because they gave me a 30-day return guarantee, assuming I didn't fire it with live ammunition.

Installed, the trigger was the difference between night and day. Instead of a high weight trigger pull with a "wall" before release, this one has a "rolling break," which has normal takeup, then even resistance from the beginning to letoff. There's not even any overtravel to drag off point of impact, though I don't know if that's normal.

It's so good I got rid of the PPQ.

I put one in my 22C and my 27. Same creep, less pull, smoother. I am down to 4lbs ( advertised 3.5) from 5.5. It is better but still is miles from being as good as a middle of the road 1911.

HighExpert, you put a Guardian trigger in and still have creep? Color me surprised. I have "takeup," but not draggy "creep."

I was seeking for a better trigger in my G34, I choose to try ZEVtech's fulcrum ultimate kit.

it did improve the trigger a great deal once I adjusted it enough times to perfect it. I have very little pretravel, very little over travel, noticeably shorter reset and a lighter pull weight.

In all honesty tho I still feel its a mushy trigger(vastly improved tho). Its nothing against glocks or the fulcrum trigger, its just all striker fired guns. No matter what you do the trigger will never be crisp like a 1911/BHP/CZ/ect.

I think actually shortening the striker foot to have maybe 3/4's engagement on the cruciform might help achieve something like a crisp break but since we are talking about striker fired guns I dont think this is a good idea. you don't have the added safety of the halfcock so save you from full auto if the foot slides over the top due to wear.

I am very partial to the Ghost Edge connector; it makes the pull longer and lighter and removes the 'bump' that you get when the trigger bar hits the disconnector. It's almost a light striker version of a DA pull.

I agree you'll never get a revolver trigger, or even a 1911 trigger, in a Glock. What you can do is improve the trigger significantly, as long as you don't believe the naysayers who will tell you, "You don't buy a Glock for the trigger; you buy it in spite of the trigger." You can improve it, and if it's a carry piece, you can improve it using Glock OEM parts, hyper-polished. That's important to me.

I still feel its a mushy trigger
When you decrease the angle of the disconnector, you are generally making the break lighter, but at the cost of making it slightly longer and more mushy.

I don't think there's one perfect trigger for everyone. Some of us actually like stock Glock triggers.
