Ok, ladies & gents - this might be a tough one.

My fiancee owns a S&W 642, which she enjoys alot. Our anniversary is coming up, and I want to try to make good on a gift that I mentioned trying to get for her awhile back.

That gift was a set of Hello Kitty grips for her snubbie.

I know, I know! What can I say, she's one of those girls!

So, suffice to say - it's a tough job, finding grips that fit the bill. At this point, I'm more than willing to settle for a set of pink/purple/other girly color grips. Ideally they'd be rubber, as she's most comfortable shooting with the "boot" style grips, but wooden ones will work too.

Anybody able to help point me in the right direction? I know that there are a number of aftermarket parts makers out there for S&W guns, but I've surfed all the major grip makers and have never seen anything even close to what I'm looking for.

Like I said, I know it's a long shot but I figured if anyone could help me, the awesome folks here on THR could.

Get her the CTC Lasergrips. They may not be girly, but they could save her life. My wife is very glad she had them on her gun when a weirdo tried to get into her car. She didn't have to think, just point. The laser hit the nutjob square on the nose and he ran away. She never had to fire. But if she did, she wouldn't have missed. Your fiancee's life is far more important than her fashion sense. Just a thought.

Put her some Sambar Stag grips and a Tyler T-grip on that 642 and just tell her that's the way it's gonna be.

Convince her that handgun grips need to be made from something that was once living...like antler, horn, wood, ivory, pearl, or bone. Rubber trees don't count. ;)

Echoing a previous suggestion

Get some grips made of wood, ivory (or ivory substitute) or whatever suits your fancy, then find someone to inlay or scrimshaw Kitty into them.

Not my cup of tea, but I do rather like the irony. ;)

how 'bout the pink pearlite from ajax custom grips? it's not hello kitty, but it is about as girlie a grip color as you're likely to find. good luck.

Thanks for all the suggestions - I guess I should have really specified, it's not about what she should have, or would be safer with, it's just about finding these type of grips, if they exist.

We can't CCW in this state, and have a number of other guns suitable for home defense so lasergrips aren't needed, and as far as natural materials for grips go - well, I want her to have what's comfortable, and so far, that's rubber.

Not trying to seem ungrateful, but sometimes a question seeks a specific answer, ya know?

DaleCooper & TexasBulldog - thanks for the links, I'll have a look around both of those sites and see what I can find. Much appreciated.

kingpin008 - One option would be to obtain two of the metal hello kitty colored enamel pins and inset them into the rubber stocks of your choice. If you find the appropriate size pins it would be a simple matter using a good quality craft razor knife set to carve the inset and glue them in place. If you take your time you could make it look like a factory job. Handcrafted items such as this always mean more to the recipient than store bought things. Good luck.

You're not going to find Hello Kitty gun gear for sale.

Just buy some grips and mod them. You can get little Hello Kitty metal pins at any Sanrio store. Clip the actual pin off of them, dremel the grips to all for them to inset, and just epoxy them in.

That way, you can use what ever type of grip you want and keep your gal happy at the same time.

TuffPaws - Yea, I don't expect to find actual hello kitty gear. I'm more interested in simply finding pink or purple rubber type grips, but I just might do the pin trick some of ya'll have suggested.
