Are there any know problems with the Aimpoint like the battery contact problems with the EOtech ? I can see how the Eotech would have a problem the AA battery is in a position to shift under recoil and over time cause a problem. I can see how the Aimpoint would not have the problem. The new Comp4 uses the AA battery are the contacts set up different than the Eotech. The lite weight 3 volt would be less of a problem under recoil , I would think. School me on it does anybody see the AA Aimpoint Comp4 running into a battery problem down the road,

Thanks,Keith

i dont believe aim point is made by EOtech. I have a Aimpoint micro Red dot that i use on all my hand guns from 22 to 44mag. I have one of the first Aimpoints evermade, which i used on a Ruger 338 win mag rifle. ( got tired of black eyes from the scope)

Like my mirco aim points . tiny & light eotech big and heavy also the most expensive

No they are not made by the same company. Are there any problems with the AA battery Aimpoints. All that weight moving under recoil could cause a problem. Looks like the 3 volt battery would be better,

Thanks,Keith

I have not heard of any problems with the Aimpoints that use AA batteries. That said, I cannot justify paying the price of the AA battery Aimpoints over their other models. Their other battery models have plenty of battery life (10,000 to 50,000 hours) and I'd rather, for the money, buy a Micro T-1 and mount from LaRue...

Yeah, I'd go with a T1 or H1, never heard of any battery problems. Been running a Comp M2 (US Army issue "M68") for a long time.

I'm still looking at 1-4 with a ill ret. having trouble making up my mind. I'm thinking Aimpoint Comp4 and the Nightforce 1-4 later. The 2 togather is to much money this time of year,

Thanks,Keith

Take a gander at the Aimpoint magnifier in a LaRue pivot mount. And take a look at the Trijicon Accupoint 1-4x...

I'm with you on that I already have there Poor boy special. 2.75 power on there pivot mount and love it. Just looking at the battery contacts on the EOtech makes you wonder how it ever worked.
Can someone with an Aimpoint describe how the batter contacts are set up,

Thanks,Keith

Trijicon Accupoint 1-4x your right I have been looking at that also and the Burris 1-4 Tactical . Even the C-More. Why is it so hard to find a C-More with a 2 MOA dot. I read use the top of the 6 or 8 MOA and not the center. Sounds like it would work,

Thanks,Keith

You'd do best to forget that CMore, and go with an Aimpoint of some type. There's also the new EoTech XPS that should take care of battery contact issues, it has a CR123 battery mounted transversely.

Never used a Aimpoint. At this point I would take a C-More over a EOtech. I love the EOtech when it is working,

Thanks,Keith

Aimpoint if you don't want magnification, Trijicon Accupoint if you do.

Both great glass. An Accupoint will go on my hunting gun soon.
