Greetings,

I am trying to remove the wood butt stock of my AK-47 WASR-10 and I have some difficulties. I removed the two screws and it still does not come out. I noticed 2 pins on each side of the stock like they would maybe contact the receiver, but they don't move. What am I doing wrong? Is there anything else I must do to remove the stock? Do I just have to pull out strong?

Thank you

Sometimes they are wedged in there tight. Alll that was holding it in place other than friction was those two screws.

One tip is if you look on the top of the rear trunnion (where the two screws were) there is a hole. You can get a flat headed screwdriver in that hole, using the trunnion as a leverage point to try to encourage stubborn buttstocks to come loose.

Just use a rubber hammer on the last inch of the top rear of the stock.

Turn it over and pound the bottom of the stock (right behind the sling swivel).

Repeat until the stock comes out.

Using the screwdriver method can grind/gouge up the front of the stock, ( but nobody ever sees that ).

Greetings,

Thank you guys!! After pounding for 20 minutes, the stock came out. it was a good idead that I put some painting tape on the stock before pounding to make sure I would not make any mark. that wood stock was tight like hell.

Thank you

Excellent. What kind of stock are you putting on?

Greetings,

I am keeping it. The furniture is in perfect condition and the color is one of the best I got in an AK... :)

Thank you
