Ran 500 rounds through my new WASR 10 this morning at the range. Man that was fun! Now I want more I guess I'll have to quit smoking, drinking...hell maybe EATING to fund it! I figure I can get another case from a local gunship this week for about $ 140, but that I'll check on Tuesday.
The AK was REALLY slick to shoot. 500 rounds with no discomfort....recoil really is negligible. Had only ONE FTE, and that was on a Bulgy mag that I proably didn't get all the cosmo out of and then no probs thereafter.
The rifle I figured was as accurate as I could be, I thought it grouped well, although didn't do any shooting over 75 yds and mainly 25-50 (this was a plinking - get to know the rifle session, not practicing for a match).
I can see how these things can get so addictive! But I can also see how they became the most widely used assault weapon the world over. Easy to shoot, reliable and reasonably accurate. What more could a man want (except for some $ 60/case ammo).
I'm almost glad I didn't have more ammo or I would have spent all DAY at the range!
As it was I also put 250 rounds thru my Mak, just so I could go home with a clean conscience, having done some serious CCW related shooting
