Are all AK receivers, including krinkov receivers, the same width?

Please assume that they are the same calibers (7.62x39)

No. Some are stamped, some are milled, some are Yugoslavian and built on RPK receivers. There's a lot of variety out there from the many manufacturers...some guy even made one with a shovel.

Do you mean material thickness or exterior width? Some receivers are thicker than others and as stated previously, there is a lot of variety/combinations to be found.

If your talking about the Russian receivers , (you mention a Krink) they should all be the same dimensions, but a krink is 5.45, not 7.62, so the question is a bit skewed.

Anyways, the dimensions of all the Russian/Soviet 7.62 should be the same. If you have a kit, determine the country of origin and ask specifics on searches.

Good luck :D

Internal width is the same across the board. External width may vary slightly depending on material thickness.

I may be rambling about something I think I know but really don't, but aren't there two thicknesses of AK receivers, 1mm, and the thicker (RPK) 1.5mm?

This.

The fire control area dimensions are identical. Internal cavity dimensions are the same across the board.

Externally it's all about wall thickness.
