Aluminum versus one piece plastic grips on Sig 229

Looking at Sig P229 Elite v. Dark Elite...

The Elite has black plastic one piece stippled grip. The Dark Elite has Aluminum grips. Does this affect the trigger reach, and if so by how much?
 
If you are referring to the one-piece "E-squared" grips, they shorten the reach from the backstrap to the trigger face, however they also force your hand lower on the backstrap.

The aluminum grips are the same as offered by Hogue in their Extreme line. They allow a higher hand placement and are a bit thinner (side-to-side)
 
Can the stippled black plastic one piece grips that come on many Sigs now be replaced with other grips? These grips dont have screws so I am not sure how they are attached.
