well, finally, i was able to find some 22 magnum ammo at a decent price. wally world had a dozen or so boxes for $7.97 per box, so i bout the limit (6) which is fine by me. i have been almost out for a while now, (less than a full box) and i dont shoot it enough to justify having 1k rounds of the stuff anyway. i also bought 2 boxes of winchester 30-30 ammo. when i got them home, i discovered that a couple of shells in each box were slightly corroded. now i am wondering if i ended up with some old ammo that had been misplaced for some time. how do you find out from the code on the box when it was manufactured? the label reads; SRSX167 E127296 K6776
i wish ammo makers would just put a regular date code on this stuff. i have no problem shooting old ammo, i just like to know how old!
