So my dad brought me his AMT Backup .380 single action as it stopped functioning. I tore it down. These things are a major pain in the posterior BTW to take apart. The cause of the issue is the hammer separated into 3 pieces. Numrich has the old style hammer in stock, but not the new style. The only difference I can see between them is the new style has an open hook to go around the hammer pin, and the old style has a closed loop. Anybody have any experience with these? should I be able to substitute the old style, or do I need to start chasing a new style down?

so... anybody got one of these hanging around? I have turned up zilch for the new style hammer online. I guess I will just order the old style and hope it fits.

for future reference, to anyone who stumbles across this thread. The old style hammers, and the new style will not interchange between guns. I have to remove about 1/16" of material from one side, and make a cut in order to get the mainspring to go in.
