Greeting's All-

I thought that it would be approiate for me to announce
on this my 2,000th post that my daughter is due
to deliver my wife and I our first grandchild during the
third week of Sept. 04.

My daughter and son in-law have been tossing names
(both male and female) into the air for several weeks
now. Only thing for sure, is a female name. And guess
what that is?

Kaylee Hope

Thats a lock, and most definitely will not change! Now,
guess the origin of that name?

Right Again!

From THR's very own: KAYLEE

Best Wishes,

Wow! Great! Congratulations are in order.

I have four grandsons (all under 4 years old), and my youngest daughter is due in August with her first.

Grandchildren are a true blessing.

You have my permission to spoil away!

Hearty congratulations, good friend. We had our first grandchild 5 months ago. What a wonderful thing.

I'm well overdue for grandkids .. but none yet ........ all in good time probably ...... both my own ''kids'' are pretty career oriented still.

As for you Ala Dan ... heart congrats and best wishes Sir ...... I think a present is in order for the young lady when she arrives ... a P32 will do just fine .. to be held in escroe .. just for a while!!:)

Yes sir, Preacherman I would have to call it a very
SIG'NIFICANT moment; cuz I've never been
there before. Also, I bet'cha when that little one arrives,
my "on air" time here on THR will be cut dramatically?
I will have to rely on my SIG-O-HOLIC brothers and
sisters to carry the torch. And, I'm quite sure the torch
will be in good hands! :D

Best Wishes,

Of course you do realize that from now on you will be sleeping with a grandmother?

(I mentioned that to my father in law a couple minutes after my wife told him that she was pregnant with their first grandchild. He went into a catatonic shock for a little while :D ).

Congrats. Hopefully my son (20 years old) wont make me a grandfather for another 5 years at least.

Hey, lookie there, I just busted 1,000 today. Only took me a year to do so.

To All:

Many thanks to all for the kind word's and well wishes! :D
I don't know about being a grand'pa though? :uhoh: I
just hope I can be a good one! ;)

Hey K, when my daughter saw your name; it was ecthed
in their mind, that if it was a little girl then that is
what her name should be. Both, mama & paw said,
"Kaylee? Now that's a cute name"!

To be honest, grand nanny and grand pappy to be are
hoping for a little GIRL. Maybe she can become a VOL's
cheerleader?

Thanks Again & Best Wishes To The Entire THR Family,

Congratulations on the soon to be coming addition, pardner! Kaylee Hope is a nice name. Good choice.

Congrats, Ala Dan, to you and your family. I still have a few years to go before I'm a grandpa, but one of my recent joys has been watching my kids shoot and hunt with their grandpa (my father-in-law). Very good times to be had ... times I never had as my granddads weren't shooters. My twelve-year-old daughter went deer hunting for the first time this season ... with her grandfather, since I was tied up at work. She (and he) loved it. Good times a'comin!

Be well.

I think you've been a little hasty. There are lots of wonderful girls' names out there, if you but look.

Why, this very morning, in police beat, there was a story about a woman named "Shatockaree" Johnson.

And just last week, there was an article on an after-school program in which one of the teenagers was named "Chee-tara." I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure her parents must have watched a lot of Thundercats when they were younger. . . . Thundercats, ho!
:scrutiny:

On second thought, you did pretty well. Congratulations!

Congrats! My parents first grandchild turned my "John Wayne/Clint Eastwood tough guy" father into "Mr. Teddy Bear" by my daughter. I'm still laughing my backside off regarding the change in my dad's personality, all due to a wonderful little girl.

Gosh, my THR brotherhood is MY FAMILY! :D I really do
appreciate all the cards, letters, and well wishes. I'm
enjoying each and every moment; living life to it's very
fullest. Guess you could say, I'm excited? Besides, all
those dimes and nickles going in the "cookie jar" must
be for something; probably bubble gum, candy, and
soda money for that little one.

Thanks Again Everybody-
