Another primer question

Because of the shortage of primers around here, I've been buying them as I find them, I guess it would be called hoarding, but I run out by the time spring shows up.
The question I have what is the primary difference between match primers and magnum primers. I know about reducing loads for magnum primers but am not certain about match grade primers.

From what I've learned, match primers just have extra QC at the factory. Better quality control equals better end product with less deviation. Mag primers are theoretically hotter so with ball powder or large case rounds like 300 win mag, you get a more uniform burn and less deviation in velocities. It is widely reccomended that whenever you change one component with should re-work your load. This goes especially for mag primers.

I've loaded mag LR primers for my .308 and reduced the Varget by 10%. It wasn't enough so I dropped it another 5%, and that worked.
Can't remember exactly, (don't have my book handy), but with regular LR primers I ran 41.7gn Varget, with mag primer it's down to 37.something gn of Varget. At the 10% level I was replacing compression rings.
