Another Stupid $$$ pricing question

I have been wanting one of the colt mustang/pocketlite/ etc 380's for years... and it seems like they're just getting more and more expensive. One of the gun shops here has a MK IV 80 series for $600 and a pocketlite for $750.

can't decide....that's a lot of money for a friggen 380...:banghead:

Especially since the ammo is so hard to find.

I had a nice customized govt. model, until it was ripped off. I will say that they are not worth the money people are asking for them. The design of the safety etc. didn't leave me feeling particularly comfortable carrying it in a ready state. Plus they are a pain to put back together if the little extractor thing gets flipped in the wrong direction.

I would rather have an LCP or something, for the weight savings and safety considerations.

I have ammo for it... I ran across some about two months ago and bought 5 boxes... I don't even have a 380, but knew I was going to buy one in the near future.

I don't think they're worth it either. They are nice little guns.. but I'm trying to think about what I'll actually use it for... and CC is one of them. I could carry a smaller (cheaper) gun for that purpose.. The weight of the pocketlite is nice though. It's much lighter than the standard steel frame model.

I still want one though!

I was in a local gun shop the other day and they had a new Mustang for $800.00 and they would throw in a bag of 100 rounds if you bought the gun. Wow what a bargain!! They are great pistols though. A friend has one and I have had the opportunity to shoot it a bit. Nice.
