That's sort of the point of why I posted her letter: it's all disjointed illogical nonsense. That's the zone where the 'rat socialists operate, and in many ways, they're winning! This woman could be a federal bureaucrat someday, and hold your business or building permit in her hands!

This week three American citizens were killed with AK-47 in Iraq. Do you think they may have bought these guns from the US.

Yeah, right..."they" can buy full auto AK-47s for well under $100 over there (if, that is, they don't find one that they or their buddies hid away at Saddam's orders or stole from Saddam's army in the first place), but they'd spend 3 or 4 times as much to buy semi-auto AK-47s here (presumably at a gun show ) and then take the trouble to get it through airport security and hide it on the plane (which, of course, they DIDN'T hijack with said AK-47s). All just to kill 3 Americans in Iraq. Someone doesn't have their thinking cap on.

It would be great if all Americans used muskets. The world would be a safer place for all of us to live.

Yeah, it would be great if our soldiers use muskets against al-Quaida and Saddam's army. The 2 or 3 shots per minute that they might be able to get off from 50 yards away would make them really concentrate on their marksmanship.

Matt, just the lack of logic and the total lack of factual knowledge of this idiot are a tip off that you are dealing with a closed-minded, anti-gun freak (apologies for the oxymorons). You can never change their minds, no matter how logical you are or how many facts you bring to bear. I'm glad that you responded - it shows her that she's got opposition - but you'd probably be better off trying to convince fence-sitters. Oh well, at least all of us got a good laugh.

Take it from someone who is in the middle of it right now; most American "universities" are simply communist gulags with nice food courts.

A good laugh was the only reason in the end I decided to post it. Once I connected the Berkeley.edu address with the "sale your book" and "bare arms," I knew I had to share it.

good food courts? maybe compared to an actual stalinist gulag. at UC-Berkeley the food was over priced (because students paid using their parent's money via a "meal plan".

I ate in my gulag dining commons once, and was actually quite impressed.

They had bunches of fresh fruit, frozen yogurt, a mexican section where you could get burritos and the like, an asian grill section, an American grill for hot dogs, hamburgers, rib sandwiches, etc.

I was thoroughly impressed.

Though that wasn't what I was referring to; I was referring to the stuff in the Union and the other eatery/food court on campus, not in the dorms.

Up until a little while ago, we had two Burger Kings on campus, but one closed, so now we have one. We have a darn good chinese food place that is run by the same asian family that owns and operates the finest chinese restaurants in town. We have a wonderful mexican restaurant, and an Indian restaurant opened up.

Oh, and we have a round table and a pub with all sorts of bar food too, all in our Union.

The communist indoctrination is far too high a price to pay for the food though....

What is sad about this topic is the thought that most Americans think this way, with this level of (un) intelligence.

Hell, my own sister came back from a southern Bible college more liberal than when she left. Of course, I set her straight, but she still has some liberal ideals.

AK47's in Iraq

Unlike the Nazi Party we do not deprive the people of the country
we are at war with basic rights of self defense.
Iraqi's enjoy more gun rights the we do at home.
I was talking to a pal in the Army infantry a few months ago,every Iraqi home is allowed one AK47! they can buy them at markets all over Iraq for under 100$ (I think thats the going rate) Also if your pistol is registered you can open carry.

Another friend of mine died over there,some kind of insect bite.
