I was curious what some of you have heard anti's call different kinds of guns. For example in the media we hear a lot of inaccurate names for guns, just because those names hold more emotional "bang". A few off the top:

Semi-Automatic handguns: Automatics/High Capacity Assault Weapons
Revolvers: Magnums
Shotguns: generally defined as a gun that inaccurately and indiscriminately lobs several bullets in one direction for killing lots of people... an obvious misunderstanding of their purpose
Hunting rifles: Sniper rifles
any rifle: high powered weapons
semi-auto rifles: assault rifles
.22's: difficult to trace and cheap, often used by assassins

What are some other misconceptions and misunderstandings you have heard from anti's or the media? There are so many out there, I'm sure I haven't heard them all.

9mm Glock 19: High powered assault pistol (From a caller to Sean Hannity's show. I jokingly used the term assault pistol to make fun of anti gun types and I almost wrecked my car from laughing when he said it.)
SKS: Ak47
AR15: M16

Any non wooden semi auto rifle (pretty much only excludes WW2 rifles and M1A, Ruger 10/22) = military assault weapon

Notice the term assault weapon, I think its intentional deceivment, as you dont hear the proper 'assault rifle' as often.

Don't forget other important terms:

Criminal shot while assaulting another person = Victim
Concealed weapon carried legally = Hidden gun
NRA = Gun lobby
Brady Campaign = Grassroots organization
Any kind of bullet = Cop killer
Gun of unknown type on CNN = Automatic weapon
Politician who "hunts" = Strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment
