Lefaucheux Style, Large Frame (11/12 mm), Single or Double Action, Pin Fire Revolver with beaver-tail wooden handle and lanyard ring. There are no identification markings on exterior surfaces. The only marking found to date is “11 V” stamped on the left side of the cylinder spindle. All external surfaces of this revolver are blued steel in good condition. The bore shows definite rifling grooves and some slight pitting. The action, both single and double, is very smooth and crisp. I estimate it’s condition at about 95%. I would love to test fire this antique but ammo is not presently available. This revolver was left by a retired US Army Major who was a veteran of WWII, Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam era. This revolver may be of Lefaucheux, Spanish, German, English, or Belgian manufacture. Assistance in the identification of this antique and it’s value would be appreciated.
