I am trying to decide between two brands of ammo for my "general purpose" 223 ammo. This will mostly be for larger varmints out to maybe 250 yards. I only have a Howa M1500 in this caliber so no MSRs will be firing it. Deciding between:

Freedom Munitions 60gr V-Max, newly manufactured.
Fiocchi 50gr V-Max.

I know the Fiocchi is quality stuff, sites anyone have experience with the Freedom Munitions ammo? Specifically has anyone chronographed it? I'd rather go with the heavier bullet but I don't know how quality their newly manufactured ammo is.

Thanks!

While not that particular load, my experience with Freedom Munitions has been good. My .308 rifles shoot their reman FMJ better than Federal M80 and the reman 556 is a little more accurate than most other bulk FMJ.

Would you guys trust every round (to the degree you would with premium SD ammo) of their newly manufactured ammo to be precisely loaded the same?

I'm just a bit wary because I know their remanufactured ammo has a decent amount of reports of having a woefully underpowered round every few hundred rounds...

Shot Freedom .380, .38 spec, .223, and .308. Been shot through a Glock 42, Charter Mag Pug, Smith 442, several ARs, and an Ishapore 2A. No malfunctions and more than acceptable accuracy. Just my experience.
