I wish I could, my father had a beautiful match target, second edition, the one with the full barrel underlug, it was 100% witthout a scratch on it, as it spent it's life in a soft cotton wrap inside a pistol case. My father wanted me to inherit the pistol, however, the evil stepmother saw that his children got none of the family posessions after his passing. That's another story.
Anyway, my father worked for a defense contractor from the end of the war (second world war that is) until the 70's. About 1960 ish, he toured the Colt factory with several other engineering and management types from his company. Part of the tour was firing some of the Colt pistols at the range. After the firing session, the Colt PR man conducting the tour looked at the group quite blatently, and said "Well, we can't sell those pistols as new any more, I guess you fellas are just going to have to take them home with you". Haha, why can't anything like this ever happen to me?
That is a beautiful woodsman you have, enjoy. If you haven't taken it apart yet, they are a little convoluted. I believe I had to push the backstrap in to get the slide off, anyway, I'm sure there are plenty of folks here that have them if you are ever in need of information.
