No.....they are junk, period!

If you paid for one I am sorry for you, I was given one and it's a total piece of crap. It only fed all 15 rounds once without choking.

Did I mention it was a piece of crap?

If you run a single stack don't try anything beyond a 10 rounder and even those are subject to failure. YMMV :)

I picked up a real cheap one ($5) in my early years of gun hood... it has never even fed the whole magazine... and I have 3 1911s...

First, the feed lips are not spaced correctly, so the round is not high enough to be picked up by the slide. (Opened it up)

Second, there are tons of burrs that catch the follower and rounds when loaded. They get stuck and don't come up without help like being shaken or poked at. (Dremel tool at work)

Third, weak, weak, weak spring. The slide was closing before it was even getting the next round up.

I might try a good Chip McCormick or Wilson 10 rd mag, but never another cheapo 15 rounder. I have plenty of 8 and 7 round mags now anyways... good ones.

I have read that only 7 maybe 8 rnd mags where reliable in GM and any thing more you run into problems, i have had trouble with 8rnd mag from Kimber and zero from the 7rnd that had come with it and two from a custom shop (Big Bore Custom). That being said if works for you great. I have found out that many FTF and FTE are mag related (read cheap mags)and the source of a lot of heartache.
