I know it might be more 'prudent' to buy a Mossy 500 or a Rem 870 for HD, but these look pretty cool, take the 1.5" mini-shell, and have that 'evil black assault rifle' presence...

Does ANYBODY have any experience with these?

"The new MAG 7 comes with 2 - 5Rd magazines that load the 12 gauge minishell (12 bore-60mm). These are the future of police security and home defense. Don't wait! Each one is tested by the manufacturer for the highest quality! 20" barrel; 37" overall."

Thanks for any input,

Can't help you, sorry. If you take a close look, you'll read the fine print and see it ONLY takes the little shell, not standard ammo.

And, a glance at the setup shows that to function the loading cycle, one pumps FORWARD.

Why spend the price of a good used Big Four Pumpgun on something requiring special ammo even for training and needing a completely different MOA?

I'm sure these will sell like hotcakes as soon as they turn up in action movies. But, not to experienced shotgunners...

I shot one of these several years ago when they first came into the country. They don't handle so great and you are very limited in your choice of ammo. The only advantage they have IMO is the use of detachable box mags.

If I really wanted a shotgun that uses detachable mags, I'd buy a Saiga.

The gun they are based on is short barreled, and stockless... like pump shotgun pistol.

I fired one years ago that the designer from South Africa sent to me for evaluation. Some parts wood, some plastic, some blued, some parkerized, some painted. Believe it or not, it shot worse than it looked. I came to the conclusion that it was the eptiome of an answer in search of a question. Total POS.

Ammo avalibility seems to slow down sales of certain firearms. Even those well versed with firearms are not often aware of the Aguilla mini-shells, and I bet they'll be showing up on blowout clearance someday.

If I see one for near $100, I'll buy it as a curiosity.
