Aside from the silly writing, that may be a nice carry piece, ad it has the grip safety, and a nice amount of rounds in a small package. With the spare mag it gives you 30 rounds of 9mm, with from what I saw, a low recoil pistol that is quite concealable.

It looks to basically be a 3" Subcompact model with a modified grip, which is a fine gun. I was initially interested in the Mod2, but I already have a subcompact XD 9mm with a 3 inch barrel. I don't see the need for the grip, though it would probably suit my smaller hands nicely.

Springfield make excellent guns. You can't go wrong with any of their models. Fit and finish will be excellent, the triggers are fantastic right out of the box, and they're reliable. Don't hesitate, even though they don't seem to get much love around here (along with Glocks). I suppose there are a lot of old iron types on the forums.

My primary interest in the Mod 2 is the added leverage cuts they added to the rear part of the slide. My wife really liked handling the XD9SC but is leery of semi-autos because of weakness in her hands. The fiber optic front sight is also a nice add on. Looks like they received enough positive feedback on the XD-s to make it a more common occurrence on stock guns.

The big improvements- fiber optic front sight on all of them, like the XDs, as well as the grip improvements and high grip cutout for the trigger guard.

I love my xds and a little wider grip would make it much better as to me "with large hands" it's a little thin. The bump in capacity is the reason for me.
